While I was visiting a science blog today to read about the space and UFO nerdy news that you know I love I saw they had this globe spinning on their blog and thought wow I want one and clicked my way hoping that it was for free. It looked kinda advanced so I feared it was going to be a fee for it. But it wasn`t.

Oh happy Smacky when things are for free!

This globe is something everyone can have on their blog. You can hover your mouse over and scroll it to make it bigger and play around with it here on SmackyGirl. And when you add the embed code to your site it will start from zero from the time you added it. Mine got added two hours ago (We are one hour a head of London so its 00.37 am here now) and the 3D globe already counted over 300 visits to SmackyGirl and showing what nations and cities you are in. Then comes those who hide behind a proxy on this site which is quite a few not sure how he counts those or just leave them out. But I thought I could share this cool globe with you if you want it on your own sites. Just follow the little link below it by clicking on it. You can customize it in many different shapes, colors and more if you want. If you have never been familiar with embed code and where they go on your site feel free to ask for my help and Ill try help you depending on what blog platform you use of course. On WordPress you mostly go this way to get it set up:

After customizing it you copy the embed code either by right clicking with your mouse and choosing copy or use the keyboard code Ctrl+c

Then open your WordPress blog menu

Dashboard>Appearance>Widgets

Look for a box saying TEXT. Then drag the text box over to the side bar(s) you want to have it using your mouse. A side bar is what you see next to this post where I keep my links and adverts for others + more. —>

Choose a headline e.g like me “The World on (Your Blog)”

In the field below paste the code you copied from where you made the globe by right clicking and choose paste, or use the keyboard code Ctrl+v

Click Save

Open your site and see how it looks.

If you want to do changes go back to where you made it make the changes and copy the new embed code and repeat what you just read till you are satisfied.

+ If you want to have the globe in a post like in this. Go create a new post, switch from Visual to Text and paste the embed code there. Swap back to visual to continue writing.
